Privacy policy

Shine Brite ("we", "us") connects businesses in Southwestern Ontario with independent commercial cleaning companies. This policy explains what we collect when you use this site, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It follows Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

When you submit the quote form, we collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, the type of space, your city, and anything you write in the notes field. That's it. We don't collect payment details or government identification through this site.

Why we collect it

We do not sell your information, and we don't add you to marketing lists you didn't ask for.

Who sees it

Your details go to Shine Brite and to the cleaning partners we match you with. Nobody else. Our form is processed by a third-party form service, and email is handled by our email provider — both act as processors on our behalf.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests for as long as we reasonably need them to serve you and keep our own records, or until you ask us to delete them.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@shinebrite.ca and we'll action it.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not set advertising cookies. If we add website analytics, we'll name the tool here and say whether it uses cookies.

Terms of service

By using this site and submitting a quote request, you agree to the following.

What Shine Brite is

Shine Brite is a brokerage. We vet independent commercial cleaning companies, price the work, and match one to your building. We are not the company that performs the cleaning. Each partner is a separate, independently operated business responsible for its own work, staff, insurance and obligations.

What a quote request does and doesn't do

Submitting the form doesn't guarantee a match, a particular price, or a particular partner. Any pricing we provide is an estimate until a scope of work is agreed. The service agreement itself is entered into directly between you and the cleaning partner we match you with.

Vetting

Our vetting is a good-faith screening process carried out to the standard described on this site. It reduces risk; it cannot eliminate it. It is not a warranty or guarantee of any partner's future performance.

Liability

Shine Brite is not a party to the service agreement between you and a cleaning partner and is not liable for that partner's performance, including damage, loss, or missed service. Claims of that kind should be directed to the partner. We do want to hear about it, though — that's how a partner ends up off our list.

Accurate information

Please give us accurate details about your space so we can match you properly.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

A note from Shine Brite: this is a solid starting draft, not finished legal advice. Before you rely on it, have an Ontario lawyer or a small-business legal service review it — particularly the liability and data-sharing sections, which carry the most risk for a brokerage model. Update the "last updated" date whenever you change it.
